April 10, 2018 at 2:06pm

I am curious about the device called APEX M. Are there any studies on it? Is it a reliable product? I have read an ad and it sounds great, but is it too good to be true?

Overactive Bladder and Water Soluble Pumpkin Seed Extract

March 16, 2018 at 2:31pm

What is your take on water soluble pumpkin seed extract for over active bladder symptoms? I’ve been reading about it and it appears that studies show there can be much improvement. I also have a few more questions:

  1. How many mg should one take per day for best results? A nutritionist recommended 2x the mg on the bottle dosage, approximately 1200 mg per day.
  2. How long does it take before one sees improvement? And if one does not see a marked improvement after say a month, is it best to abandon the supplement or go for say 6 months?
  3. Is it better to take soy isoflavones with the extract?

Prolapse

January 10, 2017 at 10:58am

I have had two hysterectomy prolapse surgeries. However, they are both failed surgeries as the prolapse is back, stage 3.

I also just had a tibia fibia leg break 7 months ago, so I am weak in my pelvic and core muscles. Will this APEX help the prolapse? I don’t want any more surgeries and I want to be able to do things I use to.

I would like to try one of the pelvic stimulating devices for urinary incontinence, but can’t find a physician in my area that prescribes them.

We are going to be in Northeast Ohio in the fall, if I were to make an appointment at Cleveland Clinic, how much follow up would I need?

Prolapse and Urinary Incontinence

February 6, 2016 at 11:10am

I am 77 years old and had a bladder suspension previously. I have taken a number of medications for my overactive bladder, but the side effects have been prohibitive. When I get the urge, I immediately use the restroom. I still have a leaky bladder. I also have a bulging bladder and have used a pessary, but it does not always work. Is there anything I can do for the bulging bladder and leaky bladder?
