Speaking of Women’s Health Announces New Chief Strategist

Cleveland, OHDianne Dunkelman, founder of the National Speaking of Women’s Health Foundation, has been named the new Chief Strategist of Speaking of Women’s Health.

Speaking of Women’s Health held the annual VIP Reception and Open House on April 28, 2015 at the Foundation House at Cleveland Clinic where Dianne Dunkelman was celebrated as the new Chief Strategist of the national Speaking of Women’s Health program. In her new role, Dunkelman will be responsible for helping to develop, communicate, execute and sustain strategic initiatives.

Speaking of Women’s Health is a national women’s health outreach program managed by the Cleveland Clinic Center for Specialized Women’s Health under the leadership of Holly L. Thacker, MD. Our mission is to educate women and to help them make informed decisions about health, well-being and personal safety for themselves and their families. All that we do in Speaking of Women’s Health seeks to align women with our motto: “Be Strong. Be Healthy. Be in Charge.”

Dunkelman launched Speaking of Women’s Health (SWH) as a one-day conference in Cincinnati in 1996. The success of that event as well as her fundraising success evolved into a national foundation that sponsored more than 50 conferences and events in more than 40 cities across the nation. Her other initiatives include Universal Sisters, an outreach program for African-American women; Hablando de la Salud de la Mujer, an outreach program for Hispanic women; and Speaking to Men About Health, diversified efforts on health education initiatives.

Speaking of Women’s Health and Cleveland Clinic congratulate Dianne Dunkelman on being inducted into the Greater Cincinnati Hall of Fame induction which will take place on October 1, 2015.
