What is the price of Solosec®/Secnidazole? My insurance does not cover it.
There are several treatments for bacterial vaginosis, including the one-day therapy of Solosec®/Secnidazole. The cost of medicines vary pending on insurance coverage, middlemen, coupon availability and region of country. It is always helpful to search online for medication coupons and ask about the cash price as opposed to through insurance as it may actually be cheaper to pay the cash price and NOT go through insurance.
It is important to be an active consumer and search price comparisons. Sometimes more effective and convenient therapies can be “worth it” even though they may be more expensive.
