What are the most common causes for a swollen cervix without other symptoms?
Your cervix is the opening to the uterus and the area from which PAP smears are taken.
Redness of this area can only be detected by your health care provider and can be caused by:
- sexually transmitted infections (chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas)
- sexual activity
- abnormal PAP smear due to HPV infections
- late stage cervical cancer
