Elevated calcium can cause the following:
- Confusion
- Kidney stones
- Calcifications
- Kidney problems
The following steps can help lower your calcium:
- Avoiding excessive calcium supplements
- Getting evaluated for primary hyperparathyroidism
- Getting evaluated for malignancy
- Getting evaluated for medication side effects
However, you will need a medical evaluation as to the cause of the high calcium. It is important to bring your prior calcium level results to your physician at this medical evaluation.
