I’ve been on the Atkins diet for about 3 months and have reached a plateau, how can I get past this stage and lose the remaining pounds?
The most effective lifestyle that seems to have sustained weight loss and other health benefits (for heart, bones, etc) is the Mediterranean diet, which consists of the following:
- lean proteins (chicken, fish, turkey)
- low fat dairy products
- whole grains (higher fiber breads)
- legumes (beans)
- majority of your diet consisting of vegetables and fruits
