Ask the Nurse

Is ApexM a good option to treat urinary leakage in women who have had a bladder sling procedure?

Pelvic stimulation devices are a helpful option for women with urinary incontinence/leakage who do not want surgery or the side effects of medications and/or who have had surgery and still have some symptoms and/or want to strengthen the pelvic floor. ApexM treats overactive bladder and leakage from stress like exercise, coughing and laughing. Over time, the device strengthens the pelvic floor muscles and trains the bladder to relax. Pelvic stimulation devices do not treat pelvic organ prolapse, if present this will need to be evaluated separately.

You should visit your women’s health clinician for an exam and get a urine check, if you are having problems.
