MaryAnn Mays, MD, is the Director of the Neurology Residency Program and a physician at the Headache and Facial Pain Clinic within the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic.
She has many clinical interests, including migraine, menstrual migraine, women’s health issues pertaining to headache including pregnancy and menopause, tension headaches, cluster headaches and chronic daily headaches.
Dr. Mays received her medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. She returned to Cleveland to complete her neurology residency training, at which time she was appointed chief resident. She has been a staff neurologist at Cleveland Clinic since 1998.
A wife and mother of three active children, Dr. Mays is passionate about women's health, because of the impact that migraines and other chronic headaches have on a woman's quality of life affecting their families and careers. Educating women that various treatment options are available and providing them with the tools to successfully manage their headaches is her mission. She is a lecturer and a speaker at Speaking of Women’s Health in Cleveland.
