Nancy Foldvary-Schafer, DO, is director of the Sleep Disorders Center and Fellowship Program at Cleveland Clinic. She is associate professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and staff member at the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute with a joint appointment in the Cleveland Clinic Center for Specialized Women’s Health.
Born in Chicago, Dr. Foldvary-Schafer is certified by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. She has treated patients with sleep disorders and epilepsy at Cleveland Clinic since 1995. Dr. Foldvary-Schafer has written extensively on sleep, women's issues in epilepsy and sleep medicine. She is the author of the Cleveland Clinic Guide to Sleep Disorders.
A mother of a daughter, Dr. Foldvary-Schafer has made it her mission to help empower women to take charge of their health. She has served as a lead investigator on numerous clinical trials and is a popular lecturer at the Speaking of Women’s Health Cleveland Conference on sleep disorders.
