I have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and would like to know if it’s safe to take cod liver oil. Some articles that I have read say it’s bad for lung disorders.

Thank you for your question. I would recommend getting enough vitamin D in a supplement form as you can get too much vitamin A in cod liver oil.

Moms would give kids cod liver oil for the vitamin D not the A. It’s generally a good idea to eat fish twice a week, so enjoy some cod!
