I have pain in my lower middle back. It feels like a rock in my back when I lean against something and when I lay on my stomach, but I cannot feel the rock on the outside of my back.

I had x-rays and a MRI last summer, but nothing was found. I am scheduled for an ultrasound and wondered if this could actually be symptoms of a fibroid?

Thank you for your question and I’m sorry to hear about your back pain.

The pain in your back is not specific for fibroids, although large fibroids can sometimes cause a feeling of pressure and backache. If you do have fibroids, they should show on the ultrasound.
