Overactive Bladder and Water Soluble Pumpkin Seed Extract

March 16, 2018 at 2:31pm

What is your take on water soluble pumpkin seed extract for over active bladder symptoms? I’ve been reading about it and it appears that studies show there can be much improvement. I also have a few more questions:

  1. How many mg should one take per day for best results? A nutritionist recommended 2x the mg on the bottle dosage, approximately 1200 mg per day.
  2. How long does it take before one sees improvement? And if one does not see a marked improvement after say a month, is it best to abandon the supplement or go for say 6 months?
  3. Is it better to take soy isoflavones with the extract?

Urinary Tract Infection and Vaginal Atrophy

December 21, 2017 at 10:25am

I am 66 years old, relatively healthy. Lately, I have problems with vaginal smell. Sometimes when I use the bathroom either I smell, or my urine smells. This changes hourly or daily. What can it be and who do I see? On occasion it hurts terribly when I do urinate, and then the next time it’s fine.

Prolapse

January 10, 2017 at 10:58am

I have had two hysterectomy prolapse surgeries. However, they are both failed surgeries as the prolapse is back, stage 3.

I also just had a tibia fibia leg break 7 months ago, so I am weak in my pelvic and core muscles. Will this APEX help the prolapse? I don’t want any more surgeries and I want to be able to do things I use to.

Prolapse and Urinary Incontinence

February 6, 2016 at 11:10am

I am 77 years old and had a bladder suspension previously. I have taken a number of medications for my overactive bladder, but the side effects have been prohibitive. When I get the urge, I immediately use the restroom. I still have a leaky bladder. I also have a bulging bladder and have used a pessary, but it does not always work. Is there anything I can do for the bulging bladder and leaky bladder?

I have been using Intensity for approximately two months with no problems. I have been experiencing uncomfortable vaginal itching the last couple of days. I did not use the Intensity today.

I do have e-string and was using Premarin, but I have not used those for the last couple of weeks. I would appreciate any advice you could provide me to help relieve my symptoms and how to proceed with the Intensity treatment.

Overnight Urination

October 8, 2013 at 9:46am

I get up four or five times a night to go to the bathroom. Is this normal for a 74-year-old woman?

I take a diuretic in the morning as well as a heart pill and baby asprin. I am a little overweight. Would any of this contribute to having to urinate so frequently throughout the night?
