The Reviews Are In!
Attendees Rave About Sarasota/Bradenton Conference!
"Awesome!" "More please!" "I can't wait until next year!"
These are just a few of the overwhelmingly positive comments from the attendee surveys at Bradenton/Sarasota's seventh annual Speaking of Women's Health conference.
Attendees were encouraged to "rejuvenate yourself," and hundreds of women at the May 9 conference did just that, leaving relaxed, refreshed, and looking forward to returning in 2010.
The event itself underwent an "extreme makeover" in 2009. There was a new host and beneficiary – Manatee Memorial Hospital Foundation. A new schedule included a later start, an earlier finish, and more breakout sessions, which were repeated. But the great things that keep attendees coming back year after year remained – a fabulous gift bag, delicious luncheon, health screenings and an interactive exhibit area.
Keynote speaker Linda Larsen received a standing ovation for her humor and encouragement in her talk "Staying Right Side Up When Everything's Upside Down."
Breakout session topics included reducing stress, skin care, heart health, osteoporosis, joint pain, personal safety and fitness.
Numerous mothers and daughters attended together on this day before Mother's Day. "Thanks for helping us spend this special time together," one attendee wrote on her survey. "We will never forget it!"
