Dr. Hewitt believes that our bodies, within the constraints of our genetics, are perfect reflections of our eating, activity and behavior patterns, and that any improvement in our physical activity will enhance health. A specialist in aging and body composition and a talented and practiced speaker, Dr. Hewitt is committed to the prevention of sarcopenia, the age- or disuse-related loss of lean mass. His insights and recommendations empower audiences to maximize personal functional longevity: even a compact exercise program can bring about significant results.

Any exercise has health benefits, but the best exercise is whatever you will do. A simple walking program can help control blood pressure, body weight, blood sugar levels and can significantly reduce the risk for heart disease, the number one health risk of women.

Dr. Hewitt is a sought-after national lecturer and is a member of the Speaking of Women's Health National Speakers Bureau.
